Ratpark
Stop Motion Animation
Psychologist Dr. Bruce K. Alexander fundamentally changed our understanding of addiction with his Rat Park experiment. He proved that dependency is not primarily caused by the substance itself but is largely shaped by social factors.
This stop-motion video raises awareness about the flawed perception of addiction, as Dr. Alexander’s groundbreaking findings continue to be widely ignored. Every single frame was hand-painted and later enhanced with digital animation—creating a rich, artistic interpretation that visually intensifies the subject matter.
The issue is explained from an unusual perspective, through Vincent Vega (Pulp Fiction), a heroin-addicted icon of pop culture.
